Here we were supposedly changing the world for the better in the Sixties, but as we get 40 years further down the line, we realize that some of those changes such as the drugs probably weren't all that great or sensible. It was all about social experiments. I was very lucky that I didn't end up going down the same dangerous road as some people I knew, because many of them ended up dying as a result of their over-indulgence. . . . Although you might think that Jimi's music had a lot of power and aggression, he was also a delicate player with a real sense of the beauty in music - also, he listened while he was playing. It may sound obvious, but not a lot of musicians do that.
