I saw him put in 25 years on the guitar in five years, because it was a constant, every day occurrence with him. Some people thought he was crazy, because they couldn’t understand why a man would constantly be playing a guitar all the time. But basically what he was doing was making this instrument an extension of his body. He wanted to get used to it like people learn how to whistle - and you have your lips with you all the time.
