I don’t think there will ever be another guitar player, at least in my lifetime, who will come along and change music and the way the guitar is played like Jimi did. He took it to a whole other level. Instead of just playing the guitar, he made it have feelings and catch fire, or sound like a bomb or a plane. And in ‘Machine Gun’ and ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ he actually made it sound like there was a fuckin’ war going on. Hendrix started a school that nobody ever graduated from. And nobody ever will.
