One night, he showed me how he strung his guitar. He put the head of the guitar between his legs, right in his crotch. He would take a string, pull it up and massage it, then pull it with the other hand, like you would be reining in something. He would move down the string as he did it. He did this with all the strings. He told me, when you do that, the guitar stays in tune and the strings don’t break. I tried it a few times, and it absolutely works.
