. . . Well, let’s see, we’ve lost the best guitarist any of us ever had and that was Hendrix. I think those interested need to listen to the music before Jimi Hendrix, including the Beatles, Yardbirds, etc, and then listen to Are You Experienced, Axis Bold As Love and Electric Ladyland, to get a sense of how much Jimi changed and developed both the structure of songwriting and the scope and place of the electric guitar.
