His tunes are still around because they’re good. He’s just like any great songwriter. They stay. It’s not just a passing thing. His songs are strong and they’ll be used by people for years and years to come. I still play his songs because I like them. As a matter of fact, I’m now re-scoring “Castles Made of Sand.” So I’m always going back to Jimi’s music and finding new possibilities. And every time I listen to his tunes, I hear something new. That’s the mark of a great composer.
