He struck me so hard that he made me want to learn to play guitar like that. The thing about his music that inspired me the most was the immediacy of it; it was very soulful in a way I’d never heard before. Hendrix had a lot of power in his playing - not just volume but the way he played. He broke all the boundaries. It seemed like he could bend a string as far as he wanted, for instance.
